BOARDMAN Twp. Ohio (WKBN)- The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) announced that a second person has died in connection to a Thursday morning crash in Boardman.
The passenger, Charles Mitchell, 21, of Youngstown, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, Terrell Brown, 21, also of Youngstown, was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital where he died later Thursday.
Troopers were called to Tippecanoe Road around 2:45 a.m.
According to the patrol, Brown was traveling south on Tippecanoe Road in a 2015 Mercedes Benz when he went off the right side of the road, went airborne and hit a tree.
Neither Brown nor Mitchell was wearing a seat belt, according to the patrol.

The crash is still under investigation. Excessive speed is believed to be a factor, according to the patrol.
