PETERSBURG, Ohio (WKBN) – A local musician will be headlining a benefit concert to bring awareness to the opioid epidemic Saturday.
Founder of the event, Janeen Bentz, says she founded the event after she realized something needed to be done.
“After losing 5 childhood friends in a 12-month time frame, it became apparent that more needed to be done to raise awareness,” she says.
The Rising Sun Music Festival is Saturday, June 15 at Buffalo Hollow, the show will begin at 4 p.m.
Michael Glabicki will be performing.
The event will have food trucks, as well as the option for camping.
All proceeds are going toward Ohio CAN.
