YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – OhioMeansJobs is urging former employees of Falcon Transport Co. to contact its centers in Trumbull, Mahoning or Columbiana counties to learn about employment opportunities.

According to OhioMeanJobs, the agency and the Youngstown-Warren Regional Chamber have been contacted by multiple transportation companies, which are now recruiting drivers and transportation workers to fill immediate openings.

Falcon closed abruptly over the weekend, stranding many drivers who were already out on the roads.

Due to the abrupt closing, representatives of the OhioMeansJobs centers were unable to meet with affected workers prior to layoffs to provide them with information on reemployment services and other resources available through the public workforce system.

Tools and resources to file unemployment claims are available at the centers, along with information on career and training services to help individuals secure new employment.
