Officials find problem causing alarm to randomly go off in Hubbard

Local News

HUBBARD, Ohio (WKBN) – What sounded like sirens were heard overnight into Tuesday morning in Hubbard, but there wasn’t an emergency.

City officials say a security alarm inside City Hall was triggered and the alarm was very loud. The alarm was silenced.

Officials said the alarm was going off randomly because the module for the high and low tones had a bad connection and needed to be replaced.

The module has been disabled. The Hubbard Electric Department will be fixing the alarm.

Fire and tornado sirens will work without any issues.
