No OVI arrests made during checkpoint in Columbiana County

COLUMBIANA COUNTY, Ohio (WKBN) – An OVI checkpoint was conducted on State Route 45 in Columbiana County Friday night.

According to officials, a total of 384 cars passed through the checkpoint.

They said no arrests for OVI were made. 

The checkpoint was ran by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Columbiana Sheriff’s Office and Salem police.

The goal was to make drivers aware of the issue of impaired driving in Ohio. Even with delays, officers received tremendous support for keeping the roads safe.
