New North Lima business accepting clothing donations for foster kids

NORTH LIMA, Ohio (WKBN) – There is a new business that is helping foster parents and children.

Mina’s Foster Closet has its grand opening on Friday. They are located on South Avenue in North Lima.

The business will offer free supplies for foster families and accept clothing donations for children of any age. They will be open by appointment only.

In Ohio, there are 16,000 children in foster care and 8,000 foster families.

In Mahoning County, there are usually 150 to 175 children in foster care. Right now, there are between 200 and 250 children.

There are 55 licensed foster homes in Mahoning County.
