Anthony Thurman, wanted for murder in New Castle, Pennsylvania

NEW CASTLE, Pa. (WKBN) – New Castle police are looking for a man charged with a criminal homicide that took place on Thursday.

Anthony Thurman, 27, is charged in a double shooting that lead to the death of 35-year old Michael Riser. 

According to police, they received a call for shots fired at the 500 block of W. Winter Avenue. Later, two men were taken to UPMC Jameson for gunshot wounds. Riser died from his injuries. A 30-year-old man was shot in the leg and he was treated by medical staff.

Thurman is also charged with criminal attempt to commit homicide  and posession of firearms prohibited.
