New Castle investigators report finding meth, heroin, ecstasy during search

Two suspects are facing criminal charges after a drug bust in New Castle on Monday. 

Around 9 p.m., members of the Lawrence County District Attorney’s Office Special Investigations Unit, New Castle City Narcotics, New Castle City Patrol, Union Township Drug Task Force Officers and New Castle City Special Response Team executed a search warrant at 702 E. Long Ave.

Investigators reported seizing a large quantity of drugs with a street value of more than $100,000. 

They reported finding 512 grams of powder cocaine, 129 grams of crack cocaine, 375 grams of marijuana, 65 grams of heroin, 16 grams of crystal meth, 466 Ecstasy tablets, four scales, $5,400 and a .45 caliber gun.

Deonte Adams and Sharnell Cark, both residents of the home, were charged with six counts of possession with intent to deliver, six counts of possession and one count of drug paraphernalia.

Additionally, Adams was charged with one count of possession of a weapon by a person not to possess.
