New Castle homicide suspect turns himself in

NEW CASTLE, Pa. (WKBN) – A New Castle murder suspect turned himself in on Wednesday.

Police said 27-year-old Anthony Thurman went to the station with his attorney and was arrested.

He’s charged with homicide in the murder of 35-year-old Michael Riser that happened on April 11. Another man was hurt in the shooting and taken to the hospital.

There has been a warrant for Thurman’s arrest since Friday.

He is being held in the Lawrence County Jail without bond.
