CHAMPION, Ohio (WKBN) – A Warren man has died following a crash in Champion on Monday.

The crash happened just before 3 p.m. on State Road near Nutwood Avenue.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 53-year-old Patrick Riley, Jr. was driving a motorcycle when he hit the back of an SUV. The motorcycle overturned and Riley was thrown off the seat.

Riley was taken to Trumbull Regional Medical Center, where he later died.

Highway Patrol says Riley was not wearing a helmet.

The SUV was driven by 72-year-old Jerry Wilson, of Warren. He and his passenger were not hurt.

Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
