Mercer County painter sentenced for tax fraud

Daniel Spatara, the owner of Spatara Painting in Grove City, was sentenced to two years probation, a $5,000 fine and 500 hours of community service for defrauding the federal government of nearly $50,000. 

According to the Department of Justice, Brady filed false tax returns for years 2010 through 2013. 

Prosecutors say Spatara did not report all of the money he made in his painting business. The total tax loss was $49, 643.
