Marco’s Pizza employee says man with gun robbed Youngstown shop

Local News

Police in Youngstown are investigating the armed robbery of Marco’s Pizza overnight.

Police were dispatched around 1 a.m. Saturday to the business on E. Midlothian Boulevard, according to a police report.

An employee told police that the robber entered through a front door, at about 11:45 p.m. Friday, which was unlocked while he was waiting for a delivery driver to return.

He said the man pointed a gun at him and demanded money. The robber then left, going northbound on Youngstown Poland Road, according to the report.

The employee described the robber as a thin white man, approximately 5’8″ to 5’9″ tall and possibly 18 to mid-20s in age. The man was wearing a gray sweatshirt and jeans, and he had his hood pulled up and a dark-colored scarf covered his face.

Police checked the area for a man matching the robber’s description but were unable to find anyone.

The same business was robbed on December 20.
