Police were called to Gas Land in Warren on Thursday after a report that a 66-year-old man was shot at.
The victim flagged an officer down, pointing to a spot on his jacket, which was hit by a bullet.
Police said the man’s neck was also bleeding.
An officer found the projectile, a .22 caliber round, inside the man’s t-shirt, according to a police report.
The victim told the officer that he was walking eastbound on McMyler Street toward Parkman Road when a white four-door sedan pulled up beside him. He said a man inside the vehicle yelled, “You’ve been stealing my brother cash,” before firing one round at him.
The man said he began running north on Parkman Road as the man fired multiple shots in his direction, which missed him.
The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
