Mahoning County Public Health is offering a rabies vaccination clinic for pets in the Valley.

All dogs, cats and ferrets in the county that are at least three months old must be vaccinated against rabies.

The clinic will be held at the Damascus Fire Department on South Princetown Road from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Shots at the clinic will be $8 and do not require an appointment. According to a press release, pets must on a leash, in a cash or in a pillowcase.

Mahoning County Public Health said the clinic will not provide physical exams. They said to get the three-year booster, pet owners need to bring in proof of rabies vaccinations on April 13, 2018 or later. Pets without proof of vaccination will only get a one-year booster.

According to the press release, sponsorship from the Mahoning County Public Service and local volunteer services keep prices low at the clinic.
