Lordstown Local Schools celebrated 100 years of history on Saturday — 2018 marks the 100th graduating class for the school system.
People were able to check out old yearbooks and class photos with help from the Lordstown Historical Society and Lordstown Alumni Association.
Photos of Lordstown’s first graduating class — which consisted of three students — were also on display.
“My grandma is here, my parents are here, my siblings are here. It is awesome we get to show this history for our students and our community,” said Lordstown teacher Courtney Gibson.
“To me, it is so important because I love the history, I love the backgrounds to a lot of things, and the more you can get the people to look, to talk about it, the better off we’ll be,” said former Superintendent Dean Bailey.
One of the oldest yearbooks on display was from 1942.
