Local libraries offer ukulele kits for patrons

Local News

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Have you ever thought about learning to play the ukulele?

Now, you can take one for a test run by checking out a ukulele kit at the Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County.

All you need is a library card.

The kits include the instrument, instruction and music book, extra strings and instructional DVD.

The ukulele kits are housed at the Austintown Library but can be requested at any branch for pickup.

Because the number of kits is limited, a patron can check out one kit at a time for a three-week loan period with no renewals. There is a $1 per day fine for late returns.

The Austintown Library is located at 600 S. Raccoon Rd.
