YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Those looking towards a career in children’s services had a chance on Saturday to learn more and even apply.

The Mahoning County Children Services held a career fair this afternoon at its offices on West Federal Street in Youngstown.

Attendees also had an opportunity to apply for 10 or more caseworker positions during the event, with on-site interviews conducted that day.

They are looking for candidates for a bachelors degree in any social services field including criminal justice.

“The community relies on our expertise, to investigate reports of child abuse and neglect and strengthening families. We work closely with families who are in need,” said Jennifer Kollar, The Public Information Officer at Mahoning County Children Services.

Kollar said the agency is also looking for an Information Technology specialist and a position to handle recruitment and staff retention.

If you were unable to attend but would like to apply, you can visit their website.
