LIBERTY, Ohio (WKBN) – State troopers say a 49-year-old man from Columbus was the victim in a deadly crash Friday morning in Liberty Township.
It happened just after 8 a.m. near the intersection of Belmont Avenue and Tibbets-Wick Road, just a short distance from a township fire station.
Witnesses said one of the cars was going northbound on Belmont, crossed the center line and drove into a field before flipping over several times. Troopers said the vehicle also hit another car that was stopped at a red light.
They said the man who died wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from his vehicle.
Everyone in the other car wasn’t hurt.
The crash remains under investigation.
