LEETONIA, Ohio (WKBN) – Leetonia police sent out a warning to residents on Tuesday, telling them not to mow grass clippings onto the roadway.

Officers say grass can be a danger to traffic and clog storm drains. They will be giving out citations to residents who do not listen to this warning.

Here is their full statement:

Leetonia Police warn residents about grass clipping on roadways. With warmer weather approaching us we are reminding our citizens please do not mow your grass clippings out onto the roadway.
