July 4th fireworks and events in the Valley

(WKBN) - Here is a list of upcoming Fourth of July events and fireworks displays around the Valley.

Austintown, OH

Wednesday, July 4: The Austintown Fourth of July Parade kicks off at noon on South Raccoon Road.

Wednesday, July 4: Canfield's 4th of July parade leaves the Fairgrounds and 10:10 a.m. and circles around the Village Green. Events, including a 4-mile run, will take place during the day.

Columbiana, OH

Wednesday, July 4: Fireworks at Firestone begins at 11 a.m. with a community celebration and ends with a fireworks display at 10 p.m. The all-day event includes music, food, raffles, contests and more. It will be held at Firestone Park, located at 338 E Park Ave.

Wednesday, July 4: Fireworks at 10 p.m. at East Palestine City Park, located at 31 Park Drive.

Howland, OH

Wednesday, July 4: Beginning at 8 a.m., a 5K Stars and Stripes Run & Walk will take place at Howland High School Football Stadium, organized by Trumbull Family Fitness.

Following the 5K, at 10 a.m., there will be a 1.5-mile parade along East Market Street, beginning at the Hunter Woods Plaza and finishing at Howland High School. Line-up will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Hunter Woods Plaza.
At 1:30 p.m., a pet show will take place awarding ribbons for various awards.

Wednesday, July 4: Guilford Lake Annual Boat Parade at 2 p.m. with the theme "Epic Movies." Call 330-222-0311 for details or to enter. 

Wednesday, July 4: Firecracker Beer Mile at 12 p.m. A mile run for 18-year-olds and older. The mile race is $20 to pre-register and $25 to register the day of. There will also be a costume contest. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Warrior Foundation. Participants must be over 21-years-old to drink.

New Castle, PA

Saturday, July 14: The Fireworks Festival and Freedom Fair will be from 4 to 8 p.m., featuring food, drinks, games, costume characters and live entertainment. At 10 p.m., there will be fireworks. Events take place in downtown New Castle.

Wednesday, July 4: A parade will be held at 10 a.m. Fireworks are at 10 p.m. A festival will take place throughout the day at the community park.

Wednesday, July 4: Annual Volleyball Tournament at 10 a.m. at Sebring Southside Park (306 W. Texas Ave.). Registration forms can be picked up at the Sebring Pool. Team rosters must be turned in by July 3 with $30.

Texas Ave.). 5K run at 8:30 a.m., Junior Olympics at 10, sidewalk chalk drawing contest at 11, train rides at 11, 3 on 3 basketball tournament at 11 (register at the pool by 10 a.m.), free open swim from 12 to 2, pie baking contest (drop off pies by pool between 12 and 3), Heverly Memorial softball game at 1, swim games at 2:30, bike parade at 4, cornhole tournament at 4:30 (register at pool by 4), music from 5 to 9 and fireworks at 10 p.m. (rain date for fireworks is July 7).

Struthers, OH

Wednesday, July 4: The Struthers School Foundation's Fourth of July Parade and 5K is at 11:20 a.m., 40 minutes prior to the start of the parade. The run or walk is 3.1 miles along the parade route, which begins at 960 Fifth St. (Pizza Joe's Parking Lot). There is also a Kids Fun Run at 11 a.m.

Wednesday, July 4: The W.D. Packard Concert Band will perform, along with fireworks. The show starts at 8 p.m., and doors open 60 minutes prior to the show. The concert will be at the South Lawn Band Shell.

Wednesday, July 4: The Wellsville Independence Day Parade begins at 10 a.m. on Main Street, followed by a ceremony at noon at the gazebo. There will be activities, including a car show, music and raffles, throughout the day.

Youngstown, OH

Wednesday, July 4: Fireworks will be at the Covelli Centre at 10 p.m. The Covelli Centre's parking lot will be closed, as well as Front Street to vehicular traffic. All bridges will be open to enter the downtown area. Boardman Street will be open to vehicular traffic.
