A Campbell man accused of killing his own daughter last summer will now go on trial for the crime.
Marc Flora is charged with aggravated murder in the stabbing of his one-year old daughter in Campbell in August.
Police said the baby was stabbed in the neck in the 200 block of Penhale Ave. around 9 a.m.
Campbell Police Lt. Kevin Sferra said Flora was home alone with his two kids. The other child was unharmed and sleeping in the other room when investigators arrived.
Since then, Flora has undergone a pair of competancy evaluations, which came back with differing results. Judge Scott Krichbaum ruled that there would not be a third exam.
Krichbaum ordered the case to go to trial, which will be held in June. If convicted, Flora will face life in prison.
