MIDDLETON TWP., Ohio (WKBN) – A Columbiana man died in a two-car crash along State Route 7 Thursday afternoon.

It happened around 3 p.m. in Middleton Township, just south of Rogers.

Arthur Snyder, 76, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Snyder was driving a 2002 Toyota Corolla north on SR 7 when his car went over the center line.

He crashed into a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee headed in the opposite direction, then hit a guardrail, troopers said.

The driver of the Jeep was not seriously hurt. She was taken to the hospital.

Troopers said both drivers were wearing their seat belts.

Alcohol or drugs do not seem to be a factor in the crash, Highway Patrol said.
