MERCER COUNTY, Pa. (WKBN) – Hundreds were without power in Mercer County as of 6 a.m. Saturday morning.

A transformer blew in Lake Latonka at 5:45 a.m. due to equipment failure, causing the issue.

First Energy’s Penn Power reported almost 250 houses were without power. Penn Power now reports that power had been restored to about 200 of those homes at 8 a.m.

Penn Power arrived on the scene at 7 a.m. and power was restored to the 30 remaining homes around 10 a.m.

The equipment failure has been fixed.
