Hubbard police and Trumbull County Children Services are investigating the neglect of a student.
School officials at Hubbard Elementary alerted police on March 20 to injuries they discovered on a 6-year-old boy.
According to police reports, a nurse alerted the school resource officer about welts and bruising found on the student.
School officials and the resource officer reported that the student comes to school unbathed with dirty clothes. Some days, school officials have to change the student’s clothes because they are dirty and have feces on them, according to the report.
The case was turned over to Trumbull County Children Services.
