HOWLAND TWP., Ohio (WKBN) – A person injured in a traffic crash in Howland earlier this month has now died.

Annette Maraczi, 68, of Mecca, died Friday at University Hospital in Cleveland.

She was a passenger in a car involved in a crash on North River Road on April 19.

The driver, 75-year-old Betty Geiwitz, of North Bloomfield, was critically injured after the crash.

Highway Patrol said a truck had crossed into the path of the car. At the time, troopers said they suspected that alcohol was a factor in the crash.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 30-year-old Warren man, was uninjured, according to Highway Patrol.

No charges have been filed yet.
