Heroin, fentanyl, cocaine seized in Youngstown traffic stop

A drug-sniffing dog alerted police to the drugs

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) - Two men were arrested Wednesday after police say they found several drugs inside a car during a traffic stop.

According to a police report, officers pulled over 50-year-old David Shears for running a stop sign on Logan Avenue.

A drug-sniffing dog was called to check the car and alerted police to a book bag that was on the passenger side where 35-year-old Jimmy Moore was sitting.

A search of the book bag uncovered two bags of heroin, one bag each of cocaine, fentanyl, and marijuana, along with a digital scale and a box of wax paper squares.

Officers also found a baggie of heroin in Shears' pocket.

Both men were arrested and charged with drug possession.
