A bar in Campbell held a fundraiser on Thursday for the family of the woman who lost her five children in a Youngstown house fire earlier this month.
Friends of Amy Acevedo organized the fundraiser with the help of Lucky Rooster bar on Wislon Avenue.
The bar donated a spaghetti dinner while the friends held a 50/50 raffle and a Chinese auction.
The five women who put on the event knew Amy and were devastated when they heard about the fire.
“We wanted to give back in a time of need because of the simple fact it’s not easy losing one but five children,” Arelis Jankovich says.
The women did not set a goal for the fundraiser. They say any amount of money will help the family.
Another spaghetti dinner held in Youngstown on Tuesday.
The family has raised $29,000 to help cover funeral expenses.
