Mercy Health is offering free health screenings, services, and health information at its annual Health Day.
The event begins at 8 a.m. Thursday, May 10 at the Covelli Centre, 229 E. Front St., Youngstown. Services will be given until 4 p.m.
Health screenings including mammograms, blood draws, dental cleaning and screenings will be offered.
“We strive to help the entire family stay healthy through prevention and wellness.” Said Alexandra Wisenall, Mercy Health Day co-chair and practice manager. “Watching families leave with a sense of confidence in their decisions and being prepared for when urgent health issues may arise, is truly what allows us to exercise our mission.” She said.
In addition, spa services, giveaways and opportunities to meet with Mercy Health recruiters about health care careers will be available to all attendees.
A keynote address from President Jim Tressel from Youngstown State University will cover the state of education and healthcare careers from an academic standpoint.
Adult/Child Basic CPR classes and the latest “Stop the Bleed” training will also be available at the event. Registration is required for training opportunities by calling (330) 480-6133.
