Lamont Ragland, charged with gross sexual imposition at Youngstown State University, YSU

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A former Youngstown State University football player is facing a gross sexual imposition charge.

Police arrested 21-year-old Lamont Ragland, III on Tuesday morning.

The YSU Police Department verified that the crime happened on May 13 but provided no other details on the allegations against Ragland.

Sources at the university said Ragland was accused of grabbing a woman’s breasts.

YSU Spokesman Ron Cole confirmed that a student was arrested for an incident that happened at University Edge, off-campus student housing. He said the university’s student disciplinary unit is conducting an investigation regarding the student’s future on campus.

Ragland played on YSU’s football team last year as a defensive tackle. In his senior season, he started one game and played in 11.
