A former employee filed the first lawsuit against trucking company Falcon Transport, which closed abruptly on Saturday night.

Mary Chavez, of Girard, filed the federal lawsuit in the Northern District Court of Ohio.

She claims Falcon officials violated the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification, or WARN, Act. That requires companies with 100 or more employees to provide 60 days notice before closing.

Chavez wants the court to award her 60 days of unpaid wages and benefits.
