I-76 EB reopens following FedEx truck crash

A FedEx truck hauling paint collided with another vehicle on the highway

DIAMOND, Ohio (WKBN) - Interstate 76 eastbound at the Mahoning/Portage County line has reopened following a crash late Tuesday night.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a FedEx truck and car collided about 10 p.m. Tuesday on I-76, near the Alliance/Route 225 exit.

One of the trailers of the FedEx truck flipped over.

The driver of the car, a 29-year-old woman from Girard, was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.

About 55 gallons of paint spilled from the FedEx truck. Hazmat crews were called out to help clean it up.

The eastbound lanes of the highway were shut down for about eight hours.
