BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – Residents at The Inn At Walker Mill in Boardman got a surprise Sunday afternoon.
Families and loved ones of Walker Mill residents drove by for a parade.
The facility is currently closed to visitors, so most of the residents haven’t been able to see their loved ones for months.
“I could only imagine not being able to see my loved ones for seven weeks, so this is a big day for all of us,” said Executive Director Amanda Rivera at Walker Mill.
Residents prepared for the parade by decorating their lockers and making signs all week.
Those who drove through the parade celebrated at the end with some ice cream.
