HERMITAGE, Pa. (WKBN) – The faithful took up crosses Friday in Hermitage and walked for 12 miles to remind people about Good Friday.
The walkers are all members of Living Faith Church.
Co-pastor Cary Parsons said they walk with the crosses to remind everyone what Jesus Christ did for them and to create a conversation about faith.
“Last year when we did this, we actually had people stopping traffic. We had people taking pictures and honking and blowing horns. It was just positive. It’s all been positive because churches aren’t doing this anymore,” Parsons said.
This is the second year for the event. Parson said they have grown since last year and are covering more area.
