NILES, Ohio (WKBN) – The Northeast Ohio Pet Expo was held on Sunday at the former Super K-Mart building in Niles to raise money for animal charities in the area.
Guests could walk around with their dogs or any pets, as long as they were on a leash. There was also a petting zoo, a coloring contest, a pet fashion show and adoptions available.
One of the vendors said it’s a great opportunity for outreach.
“We’re in Austintown, so reaching out into Trumbull County a little bit, we’re drawing a little bit of a different demographic, which is always helpful,” said vendor Nicole Davis.
Part of the proceeds are going toward local animal charities and rescues.
The next expo will be held April 25 and 26 of 2020.
