East Liverpool drug bust

The East Liverpool Police Department busted two men Tuesday afternoon after officers said they saw a drug deal take place.

Police said the suspects were from the Canton and Youngstown areas. After seeing a hand-to-hand transaction, officers pulled over a car and had their K9 search it, police said.

The dog alerted to the car and police said they found several cell phones, cash, drug packaging materials, pills, suspected crack cocaine, suspected heroin and a large amount of suspected fentanyl.

Police said one of the suspects told them at the station that he was just in East Liverpool “to see his homies.”

The other was insistent that officers give him his Viagra back because he was there for the girls, police said.

One of the suspects was jailed and the other was released while his charges are pending. Officers did not identify the men.
