Dog warden looking for owner of puppy rescued from Youngstown ravine

Local News

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Workers at the Mahoning County Dog Pound are waiting to see if anyone claims a little dog that was rescued from a ravine over the weekend on Youngstown’s south side.

We’re told the 2-year-old dachshund mix is doing well after it was dropped off at the pound on Sunday evening.

A neighbor called the fire department after seeing the dog fall into the ravine off of Pine Hollow.

Workers said the dog shows no signs of illness or injury, but will have to remain in quarantine another couple of days since it was not wearing a collar or tags.

If you recognize this pup, call the dog warden’s office at 330-740-2205.
