YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Detectives are investigating a bank robbery in downtown Youngstown.

Reports said someone with a note robbed the Federal Plaza branch of First National Bank around 2:15 p.m. Monday.

The bank closed while detectives talked to witnesses and collected evidence.

Police said in a release the suspect has not been arrested but provided photos from surveillance footage. The suspect is believed to be about 5’10” with an average build wearing a white cloth face mask and black hat.

Police said there is no known danger to any businesses or people in the downtown Youngstown area.

The Youngstown Police Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation are investigating. Information can be called into either agency or tips can be left anonymously at (330) 746-CLUE.
