The trial for the defendant accused of shooting an employee at a Walmart in Hermitage was cut short on Monday.

Zachary McClimans pleaded guilty to attempted murder.

He’s accused of shooting a co-worker at the store in November of 2016.

McClimans told police that he was transitioning his gender and felt threatened by the co-worker.

Police suspect he shot Jayson Hall four times inside the Hermitage Walmart.

His sentencing is scheduled for a later date.
