Crews were called just before 2 a.m. to a house in the 1100 block of Bailey Anderson Road

BRACEVILLE TWP., Ohio (WKBN) – A fire tore through a home in Braceville Friday morning but the man who lives there made it out safely.

The home in the 1100 block of Bailey Anderson Road is a total loss. It’s the second house this week to be destroyed by a fire in Braceville.

When crews arrived to the house around 2 a.m. Friday, it was already engulfed in flames.

A neighbor called 911 to report what was going on.

“He’s got guns in there and the bullets are blowing up. There’s guns in the house, the bullets are blowing up. OK, there’s gunshots going.”

The caller told police an electric heater caught fire inside the house, but the official cause is still under investigation. It is believed to be accidental.

The man living inside initially refused medical treatment but was taken to the hospital by someone else to be checked out for smoke inhalation.

No other injuries were reported.

Family members say the man’s pet beagle is missing and are asking neighbors to keep a lookout for the dog.
