Court denies Warren murderer’s request for new trial

Local News

Convicted Warren murderer Danny Lee Hill will not get a new trial.

Hill is on death row for his role in the 1985 torture, rape and murder of 12-year old Raymond Fife in Warren.

Hill’s lawyers said some of the science, specifically bite mark evidence, used in his trial was unreliable.

Judge Patricia Cosgrove said other evidence against Hill was “more than sufficient to support his conviction,” however.

Monday, the 11th District Court of Appeals agreed and upheld her ruling.
