AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Mahoning County Coroner’s Office has identified the man hit and killed by a semi-truck in Austintown on Thursday.

The victim is 29-year-old Arman Meco, according to the coroner.

Meco, an out-of-state truck driver, was hit as he was walking in the parking lot behind Pilot Travel Center on Route 46 near Interstate 80.

Police said it seemed like the victim stepped out from between parked trucks and the Canadian semi driver didn’t see him.

He died at the scene.

The Coroner’s Office and Austintown Police Department continue to investigate the incident.
