SPRINGFIELD TWP., Ohio (WKBN) – A press conference was held at The Lake Club Monday morning, announcing who purchased the last Chevy Cruze.
Former professional football player and Youngstown businessman Ed Muransky and his family bought the last Cruze. They are allowing everyone a chance to bid on the car with all proceeds going to the United Way.
“We’re going to turn a tough situation, that hopefully is not the end, into a celebration of our future and a celebration of raising money to bridge our future with our children,” Muranksy said.
Those interested can go to the website and start bidding. There will be a starting bid of $5,000.
Bidding will wrap up on May 10 at United Way’s Centennial Gala.
The last Chevy Cruze rolled off of the production line at GM Lordstown in March.
