YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Students at Wilson Elementary School in Youngstown remembered a lost classmate on Tuesday.
Balloons were released in memory of Aleysha Rosario.
Aleysha and her siblings died in a tragic fire in Youngstown late last year.
Fourth graders at Wilson released the balloons on Tuesday to mark what would have been Aleysha’s 10th birthday.
“We have come to school every day and see an empty desk and see an empty locker, and a smiling face isn’t coming in the classroom. We have to deal with it over and over again, every single day,” said teacher Courtney Angelo.
Angelo said the whole day at school was dedicated to Aleysha.
