YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A group of Youngstown students will be heading to the prom Friday evening with a little extra sparkle.
Kids in the multiple disabilities class at Chaney High School were getting a little help with their hair and makeup ahead of Friday’s Special Needs Prom.
The teachers who helped organize it said a number of local businesses donated their services — even the dresses for the girls — to help them get ready.
“They don’t hold back when it comes to these kinds of kids. They, they’re so willing to help and so willing to give them a little bit extra, and it’s just been awesome all coming together for these kids,” said Allyson Morici.
Once the students are ready, the teachers arranged for a little prom promenade — complete with a red carpet — so parents and family could get pictures of their students all dressed up.
