WILMINGTON Twp., Pa. (WKBN) – A horse was put down following a crash between a car and a buggy in Wilmington Township Thursday morning.
Troopers were called to Cowden Road in Wilmington Township around 7 a.m.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the driver of a Honda hit the back of the buggy, throwing the driver from the buggy.
Troopers say the driver of the car had a frost-covered windshield and was speeding.
The driver of the buggy sustained minor injuries.

The horse was seriously hurt and had to be put down at the scene, according to a police report.
The road was blocked but has since reopened.
