Canfield man already facing prison time accused of shoplifting women’s skincare products

Local News

There is more trouble for a Canfield man who’s already facing time in prison for a federal weapons conviction.

Michael Malvasi, Sr. has been accused of shoplifting women’s skincare products at an Austintown grocery store this month.

He was arrested on a warrant for that earlier this week and now faces a “petty theft” charge.

We last saw Malvasi, Sr. in November as he was being arrested by U.S. Marshals for violating the conditions of his release.

At the time, he was awaiting sentencing on federal weapons charges but had failed a drug screening. He was ultimately given a five-month term and told to report this spring.
