The Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown is once again showing off one of America’s finest fine arts photographers.
This is the third time that the museum is displaying the works of Holger Keifel. The show, called “Only in America,” includes 39 photographs for guests to see.
One is a portrait of Youngstown native and boxing champion Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini.
Keifel often uses his art to showcase what he has witnessed since immigrating to the United States from Germany 25 years ago.
“A lot of black and white, some color, but a lot of expression and it is an example or it shows through Holger’s eyes what America and what Americans present to him,” said Wendy Swick, director of public relations.
Guests can tour the collection until April 7. Keifel will visit the museum on the last day for a reception and gallery talk.
