Masury murder defendant to be held in Trumbull County Jail without bond

Investigators arrested Joseph Rosario in New York last month

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – The suspect in a 2018 murder case in Masury will be held in the Trumbull County Jail without bond.

Joseph Rosario pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder, carrying concealed weapons and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle charges in court Tuesday.

He was indicted last week for the murder of Jason Drummond Jr.

Police say Drummond was shot while driving along Warren-Sharon Road on July 27, 2018.

A warrant for Rosario’s arrest was issued through Eastern District Court in August of that same year. He was arrested this past August after police say he sold narcotics to an undercover agent in Queens County, New York.

Prosecutors believe he took off to New York shortly after the murder..

Rosario is due back in court on November 2 for a pretrial hearing.
