Bond set for suspects in shooting death of Youngstown woman

Local News

The man charged with killing a woman in Youngstown over the weekend is jailed on half-a-million dollars bond.

Jesse Williams appeared in Municipal Court Friday afternoon on a charge of aggravated murder.

He turned himself in to police on Thursday evening.

Williams is charged in the death of 66-year-old Diane Dent on Sunday afternoon at a house on the north side after she answered her door.

Police believe Williams went there looking for the woman’s son and shot the victim when he found out her son wasn’t there.

The woman accused of driving Williams to and from that house on Goleta Avenue made her own appearance in court on Friday.

Rebecca Perez is charged with complicity. Her bond is set at $200,000.

Authorities said she is Williams’ girlfriend.
