YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A man accused of rape remains jailed on $250,000 bond after appearing in court Wednesday morning.
Mahoning County prosecutors say Glenn Lambert is charged with raping two underage girls — one of whom was under the age of 10 at the time.
He’s also facing prostitution charges.
Since Lambert could face a life prison sentence if he’s convicted, prosecutors asked for the high bond, calling the defendant a flight risk.
“There also was information in our investigation that the defendant had been violent in the past with at least one of the victims, physically violent, and that he made threats to one of the other victims,” said Mahoning County Assistant Prosecutor Jennifer McLaughlin.
Lambert is due back in court again in March. Trial is expected later this year.
